Psychologist:

The private fee for a standard consultation is $115 for individuals and $130 for couples.

Concession fee is $98.50 for Health Card holders. 

Various financial concessions may be available upon request. (Also health fund insurance rebates may apply)

Under certain conditions people who are referred by a General Practitioner may be available to have a series of counselling sessions (Clients under the Mental Health Care Plan item number 2710) substantially covered by the Medicare--currently $83.25). Bulkbilling may be available under situations of financial hardship. 

 

Counsellor:

The private fee for a standard consultation is $95 for individuals and $110 for couples.

Concession fee is $80 for Health Card holders. 

(No health fund or Medicare rebate is available for the counsellor at this stage.)

 

Payment methods:

Payment can made by credit card, EFTOS or cash. If applicable, Medicare rebates and health fund rebates can be processed immediately after the conclusion of the session. 

 

Late fees:

Missed appointments: Failure to show for your appointment without adequate warning is half the standard fee, for example $49.25 is the concession fee for a psychologist. (Note this can't be charged against Medicare but must be paid by the clients themselves)
